If you are planning on going to Hayward Field or the Eugene 08 Festival, here is a list of what you can bring with you:
The following is a list of things that cannot be brought into Hayward Field or the Eugene 08 Festival:
• glass bottles • cans (including aerosol cans) • sealed or unsealed plastic bottles which contain liquid (empty bottles okay if less than 1.5 liters in size; water bubblers will be located inside the Festival for filling of bottles) • food or beverage purchased outside the venue • alcohol of any kind • animals (except service animals) • banners, signs, and flags • sticks, poles • coolers, ice chests • fireworks, horns, whistles, cowbells, etc. • frisbees or beach balls • laser pointers • stadium seats larger than 17" wide, 19" high, and 10" deep (folded) • lawn chairs, sleeping bags • illegal drugs • thermoses (empty water containers excepted) • umbrellas • video cameras (excepting media and coaches) • weapons, guns, knives, handcuffs, chains • matches, lighters, or other igniters • explosives • bicycles, skateboards, Segways, etc. • any materials the LOC deems objectionable

Eugene, Ore. -- Dwight Midles just missed making the US team, in the hammer throw, the last time the Olympic trials came to Eugene in 1980. 28 years later Midles son Adam is keeping the family traditon alive.

Eugene, Ore. -- Track and field is no laughing matter to the hundreds of athletes and thousands of fans that are making plans to be in Eugene for the start of the olympic trials. Author Leigh Anne Jasheway Bryant and Illustrator Jesse Springer are hoping to cash in on the fact that track and field can be very funny with their new book, "Laugh Track and Field."
